Wanting to get Keto Sticks to check if you are in ketosis?
We used to sell sticks that are more effective and last longer than the majority of the “diet” type sticks.
However, due to shipping costs increasing, less demand than previously and increased product cost, we have had to discontinue selling these.
After using the medical ones early on (around 2016 and earlier), we found the cheaper ones were SO ineffective. They tend to stop showing ketosis within a month or two as well as expiring much quicker, whereas the ones we were selling would work for at least 6 months (and I’ve tested them as still working over a year later). The sticks we were selling are calling KetoStix or Diastix. These are the ones that are approved by pharmac to test for ketosis (for people who have diabetes or other conditions where urine ketone checking is neccesary) – However they don’t supply to NZ as they did previously. You are still able to source them online and in some pharmacies however. Have a search for KetoStix and Diastix including “NZ” to find NZ providers of these. It may be cheaper to go through somewhere like Chemist Warehouse Australia to source these as well, even thought the shipping cost is higher.
If you choose to continue using the less effective sticks, just remember, they will be less effective quite quickly. This doesn’t mean you aren’t in ketosis, just that it’s not working as well (or at all) any more.
